Elevator Pitch
Almost thirty years playing in clubs gives me the experience I need to know how to work a crowd. Whether performing my original music or doing a dance set in a club environment I know how to keep the people entertained. I pride myself in having a large and diverse repertoire for a party atmosphere.
Typical set list for clubs - March 23, 2009
My original music is Americana and varies from blues and modern country to rock-a-billy. When performing as a cover band we can play Country, Blues, or Classic Rock. Usually it ends up being a mixture. Normally we perform an hour set first with a 15 minute break then 45 minute sets there after. That's really up to whoever hires us. The band name is, "Built On Blues". I like to perform cover songs that have passed the test of time and can be enjoyed by any audience regardless of their personal favorites. A typical set might be:

Basic Requirements - March 2, 2009
Any normal stage will do. Usually 12x16. We do require 4 vocal mics, SM58 minimum. 3 Drum mics minimum, SM57 or equivalent. One direct input for electric bass and one for keyboards. 1 SM57 or equivalent for keyboard player when playing accordian. Keyboard and bass amps should be 300 watt minimum (Fender, Korg) capable of delivering clear undistorted sound that can fill the stage. One SM57 or equivalent for guitar amp which should be Marshall JCM800 or equivalent (one clear channel one distorted, good plate reverb). 5 boom mic stands 2 set at keyboard. One for the bass player. One for drum vocals one for lead vocalist.
We require 4 monitor wedges and monitor power able to deliver instruments in monitor mix as well as vocals without distortion. Usually 300 watts is sufficient.
Main PA should be 16 channel minimum with plate reverb and digital delay for vocals. Power should be 5 watts per person expected in audience minimum. For example if expected audience size is 500 PA should have 2500 watts power available.
Stage should be well lit . 8 par 64 cans is preferable minimum with foot controller if there is no lighting technician.
Stage should have a cooler stocked with cold water and juices.
Lead singer guitar player (same person) center stage. Drum kit 6 feet behind. Bass stage left (high hat side) 3ft behind lead singer. Keyboard stage right 3ft behind lead singer.
We are self contained with PA and lights for crowds of up to 500. Our PA conists of peavey console, QSC amps. Bose 802 loudspeakers.
Concerning any dressing rooms we are not picky just treat us the way you would like to be treated. For travel arrangements and accommodations apply the same standard. Please keep in mind the effects of jet lag and plan on a sound check three hours prior to performance and provide at least one catered meal.
